Surrounded by all manner of colourful, sweet-smelling native flora, elegant furs, tropical palms and seductive bougainvillea, it’s easy to see how in demand Puente Romano is, best known as an uber-affluent resort on Marbella’s prestigious Golden Mile – a mixture of Michelin-star restaurants, world-class tennis courts and white sandy beaches – but its botanical gardens are not to be underestimated.
This gem of an apartment is located in the heart of the gardens, and has been designed to make the most of its verdant location. Open-plan living areas spill onto a generous terrace (also accessible via the master bedroom) – a relaxing space to sit back with a glass of wine and be at one with nature. With so much to do, it quickly becomes a calming retreat from the hustle and bustle of the resort.
Inside the apartment, the feng shui remains decidedly tranquil. Tropical murals and a natural colour palette help the interior feel like an extension of the gardens. The interior design, art and lighting makes the place feel refined but homely. The two bedrooms are laid-back, soothing havens, their en-suite bathrooms fresh and invigorating.
