Alex Clover Awarded REAS “Biggest Sale of the Year” for Landmark Golden Mile Transaction
In 2016, REAS recognised Alex Clover with “Biggest Sale of the Year”. The transaction, conducted under strict confidentiality in Marbella’s prime market, concerned an ultra-luxury home with a private driveway and panoramic sea views in one of the city’s most prime locations on the Golden Mile. It reflected Panorama’s methodical, evidence-led approach: clear documentation, disciplined valuation and a steady path to completion rather than a single moment of theatre. The sale is indicative of the calibre of transactions in which Panorama frequently participates across the Golden Mile and surrounding prime areas.

About REAS and the judging process
REAS was an association of Costa del Sol real-estate agencies comprising more than thirty-five member firms. For this award, all member agencies confidentially submitted verification documentation to an independent judging panel. The judges assessed the submissions and awarded the honour on the basis of the largest verified sale amount for the year.
Transaction execution
Working with the principals and their advisers, Alex set an orderly cadence: early clarity on commercial terms; coordinated legal due diligence; verification of title and m² records; and notary scheduling aligned to funding timetables. Where specialist input was required, independent professionals were introduced and liaised with on a non-affiliated basis, preserving client choice while maintaining momentum.
Recognition and occasion
The award was presented at a gala hosted by Kurt Kettner-Borough, one of Marbella’s best-known MCs and a personal acquaintance of Alex, with whom he shares many friends in common. The evening underlined the standing of the event within the business community and the collegial spirit of the profession.

Collaboration
The sale was completed in collaboration with another real-estate agency and is remembered as one of the most outstanding collaborations in Marbella real-estate history: a calm, well-governed joint effort focused on timely execution and client outcomes.

Two features of the sale were characteristic. First, valuation discipline: market evidence, rather than aspiration, framed negotiations and reduced friction later in the process. Second, cooperation: counterparties and professionals engaged on clear terms, allowing issues to be resolved at working level before they became timing risks. The result was a composed conclusion to a complex transaction, delivered on schedule.

Ultra-prime recognition and responsible stewardship
The recognition sits within a wider context in which Panorama’s governance-first stance—independently owned and RICS-regulated—continues to shape day-to-day practice. In ultra-prime transactions, such foundations tend to matter most; they provide the predictability that principals and family offices expect when coordinating decisions across jurisdictions and time zones.
