From the twisty, 26-corner challenge at Ascari in Ronda, to the legendary straights of Jerez, each track promises prestige and an unforgettable rush. The sweeping curves of the Ascari track

Ascari Race Resort (Ronda)

Nestled in the rolling Serranía de Ronda, Ascari Race Resort is one of the top racetracks near Marbella, located about 1 h 45 min to the north and blessed with over 300 days of sunshine a year. Its full-length circuit stretches 5.5 km and winds through 26 corners, blending tight hairpins with sweeping curves inspired by famous global turns such as the Corkscrew and Eau Rouge.

What you can do and events.

Ascari is a private members’ club offering everything from guided instructor-led laps to open pit-lane track days for your own sports car. On-site, you will find luxury accommodation, a health spa, clay-shooting range, go-kart track and even helicopter transfers to the nearby coast. Annual highlights include multi-day track festivals, manufacturer test events and exclusive Ascari Club gatherings.

Circuito de Jerez–Ángel Nieto

Located approximately 2 h 15 min west of Marbella near Jerez de la Frontera, this circuit opened in 1985 and recently celebrated its 40 year anniversary alongside hosting the 2025 MotoGP. Measuring 4.428 km in length, the track is known as the “cathedral of speed,” and features a fast, technical layout framed by the sherry-producing vineyards of Cádiz.

What you can do and events.

Circuito de Jerez hosts the annual Spanish Grand Prix for MotoGP, drawing up to 160,000 spectators. Throughout the year, you can attend FIM JuniorGP rounds, the Spanish Cup and Andalusian Motorbike Championship, Racing Weekend multi-category meets, and the Historic Festival showcasing classic machinery. The circuit also offers public driving experiences and advanced training courses for cars and bikes.

Recent MotoGP Highlights at Jerez.

The 2025 Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez delivered one of the most dramatic showdowns of the season, with Álex Márquez clinching his maiden MotoGP victory on Sunday, 27 April, as his elder brother Marc crashed out on lap three. Riding his BK8 Gresini Ducati, Álex made a decisive move at Turn 9 to overtake Fabio Quartararo and then pulled clear to win by 1.561 seconds, instantly leapfrogging Marc into the world championship lead with 140 points.

Over 100,000 fans packed the grandstands, cheering every overtake and gasping at every slide. The Jerez sprint race on Saturday had already set the tone, with Marc winning after Quartararo crashed on lap 2, further intensifying the sibling rivalry heading into Sunday’s main event. This landmark victory for Álex Márquez not only marked a personal breakthrough but also underscored Jerez’s reputation as a circuit where legends are made and family dramas play out in spectacular fashion.

Circuito de Almería

Just under 2 h 30 min east of Marbella, the Circuito de Almería sits in the Tabernas desert, 35 min from Almería airport. Inaugurated in 2000, its 4.2 km main loop offers a fluid track design set against an arid landscape famed as a spaghetti-western film set.

What you can do and events.

Thanks to more than 360 days of sunshine and minimal rain, many MotoGP and World Superbike teams choose Almería for winter testing and pre-season prep. The venue runs regular open track-day sessions, basic and advanced riding/driving courses, photo-and-video services, equipment rental, and full-service paddocks. It also hosts rounds of the Andalusian Motorcycle Championship each season.

Circuito Monteblanco (Huelva)

About 2 h 45 min from Marbella and 50 km from Sevilla, Circuito Monteblanco lies near La Palma del Condado in Huelva province. Built in 2005–06, its principal 4.458 km loop includes 18 corners (11 right-handers, 7 left-handers), a 960 m straight, and offers 26 layout variants plus 12 dual-track configurations.

Monteblanco is fully FIA Grade 2 certified and commonly hosts F1 and manufacturer testing, R&D, product launches, corporate days, and bespoke training programmes. Racing series events include the Copa Racer Confortauto, C1 Eurocup, Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica, Andalusian Circuits Championship and endurance challenges such as the 11 Hours of Seville Racing Calendar. Track-day enthusiasts can book open sessions or high-performance driver coaching.
