Puente Romano: The Roman bridge legacy
Puente Romano is named after the magnificent first century A.D. Roman Bridge which still stands adjacent to the Plaza of the Hotel. This prestigious beachfront urbanisation, situated midway between Puerto Banús and the centre of Marbella, is probably the most popular and sought-after residential area in Marbella’s “Golden Mile”.
The architect responsible for the design of three of these urbanisations was the internationally-famed Melvin Villarroel.
His work has since continued around the world through his children, who are all now highly qualified architects, trained by their father.
