GIPE stands for Gestores Inmobiliarios Profesionales Europeos (before Gestores Inmobiliarios de Promociones y Edificaciones). It is one of Spain’s most respected professional associations for real estate agents. Established in 1985, GIPE requires its members to demonstrate in-depth legal and technical expertise in Spanish property, uphold a strict code of ethics, and carry professional indemnity insurance.
CEPI affiliation (MMCEPI)
CEPI is the French acronym for "Conseil Européen des Professions Immobilières" although today it has shed the "Council" part of its original name and today uses the term "Association" instead. It is known in English as the European Association of Real Estate Professions.
CEPI was founded in Brussels in 1990 as an international non-profit organisation. Its members are national associations across Europe representing estate agents and property managers. The association’s mission is to support European and cross-border real-estate transactions by advancing the work of real-estate professionals while keeping consumers’ interests firmly in view.
Through GIPE, members have CEPI affiliation with MMCEPI status (“member of a member of CEPI”). This adds a pan-European professional affiliation that complements Spanish practice and is recognisable to international clients.
